Thank you for asking. To be honest, we’re really struggling. I’ve lost track of how long this episode has gone on for now, perhaps 11 days. It has improved slightly going from generalised seizures to focal seizures.
She’s currently having focal seizures every ~3 hours, 24 hours a day, they last around 30 mins. We have to intervene because it causes her to bite her own front legs until she cries.
We’ve spoken to the vets every day, she’s been back twice for intravenous soliphen on top of a seizure protocol of potassium bromide, soliphen and levitracitam 5 times a day. Tried rectal diazepam also.
But it’s stil not breaking the cycle. I am at a total loss what to do.
Fingers crossed for you and MadsShe’s currently having focal seizures every ~3 hours, 24 hours a day, they last around 30 mins. We have to intervene because it causes her to bite her own front legs until she cries.

Maybe the current vet could consult with Prof Fitzpatrick, or equivalent if there is one. Best wishes for a successful outcome.
Thank you for all the kind responses.

Might be worth seeing if there is either a vet referral scheme in your area, or even a Veterinary Medicine School.
I know they have referral schemes/vets for horses, not sure about dogs. I think there are only about 10 vet schools in the country
I have used the Cambridge vet school before now, but I lived close by.
It sounds like time for a more experienced opinion?
Just to add, here's a list of vet schools in the UK:
There are currently 11 vet schools in the UK:
Royal Veterinary College, University of London
University of Cambridge
University of Liverpool
The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh
University of Glasgow
University of Bristol
University of Nottingham
University of Surrey
Harper and Keele Veterinary School
The Aberystwyth School of Veterinary Science (in collaboration with the Royal Veterinary College)
University of Central Lancashire
Super helpful, thank you. Cambridge is the closest to us so I'll be calling them to see what they say. Cheers.I know they have referral schemes/vets for horses, not sure about dogs. I think there are only about 10 vet schools in the country

I hope you get some answers, good luck to you.Another vet trip for Murph yesterday for some bloods. Increased dose seems to have improved a few symptoms so I think we're getting there, albeit slowly. 2 more weeks and another test then to see exactly how he's responding.
Our vet gave me a 3/4 box full of 30mg Vetoryl yesterday as they were going out of date and they didn't have any of the charity animals they also treat that had cushings at the moment. Not many vets would do that.
Anyway, here he is, post bloods, ready to leave immediately

We ended up at Dick White’s referrals after similar brick walls. I notice you’d said Cambridge is closest to you, but DWR are in six mile bottom so might not be too far away and were certainly excellent when we saw them. Really hope whatever the next steps are for you that you can find some answers to help.

Aww, poor wee guy.
How long now Gretchen? He needs his FREEDUM!
FREEDUM? He’s been on several road trips and two boats with a jaunt up (and down) the river so far this weekend. We worked Friday and are working tomorrow. How long now Gretchen? He needs his FREEDUM!
Vet said cone on and no walks until Friday He looked healed and is eager to be out but I’d rather he was officially discharged as could do without being back and forth to the vets and rick delaying his recovery.
