Okay... Who likes Labrador puppies?

Sorry, that should be "Who doesn't like Labrador puppies?"

(Not mine; my friends' litter. The big girl is also a champion gundog).

Cookie has her favourite snacks. Tasty Bites or something like that they're called. I keep a pack on the lobby windowsill.
This evening I gave her a few after her pee-walk and believe it or not she picked one up and gave it to Charlie the cat, then ate the other three herself.
(Turns out cats like them too).
How I wish I'd photographed that. Never seen anything like it. I know they share toys but I didn't expect her to share treats.

That's brilliant. Friendship is even more important that treats.

There should be a phrase "happy as a dog in a bog".

Cooper has been to the vets today… having been at a friends for a couple of nights while the Mrs came and watched me finish my course, the friend reported he was really lethargic and needed carrying outside to go for a wee.

Blood tests and on a drip all afternoon it appears his white cell is super high and platelet count is high… being diabetic steroids are not going to be advised especially as he is nearly 15. Vet mentioned possible blood tumours and is likely to deteriorate over the weekend.

He has some minor bleeding from his nose… quite twitchy but happily eating like a healthy dog.

At the vets advice we have made an appointment on Monday for a further discussion… vet advised while he appears to be in little pain and discomfort right now, further deterioration will happen and we should consider putting the little fella to sleep.

Feel pretty hollow, as does the wife. The kids will be devastated, but I am hopeful we might see a bit of improvement over the weekend. We shall see.

My thoughts with Cooper!

Playtime with Bella.
She's 10 next week. Scares me her getting older.
