Funny how this thread came up just got back from a lovely week in Cornwall and before I start I am not anti dog have owned in the past but sadly no more but anyway reason for post was whilst on the beach plenty of dogs running about enjoying themselves a couple of ladies had around 6 dogs between them but the thing that annoyed me was whilst we were messing about in the water i noticed they had completely no control over these dogs and at one point they were all rummaging around my beach tent messing up my towels and generally being a nuisance it was when one of them decided to cock its leg and piss up my tent and one of our beach bags I was coming out of the water and trying to shoo them away whilst the two women completely oblivious and to be honest didnt give a st to be honest I was that close to going up to them and telling them when I need a piss I am coming over and pissing up there bloody tent furious
Maybe some relation of the charming lady I had the misfortune of speaking to yesterday. Coming out of the community campus across the road from our housing estate in the car, met a yellow and a black lab wandering around on their own. Suspecting they came from the farm just up the road I parked at the end of their road but by this time the dogs had carried on into the houses (not before the black one had a st). Walked up the farm road, to be met with said charmer. 'it's very difficult when you're working all day on the farm etc...', no, it's not , don't let the dogs out. I'd seen the yellow one taking a dump at one of the the kids playparks before now, and when I mentioned she couldn't let he dogs st where they please, she didn't approve of my language. Not a hint of an apology.

It's no different to littering or spitting. Utterly socially filthy and abhorrent.
And yet Premier League footballers to regularly spit on the pitch, how is that setting a good example for young kids?

For the hard of thinking, the FA should be penalising it.

Well, you introduced the subject of spitting, so I'll leave that up to you to decide.

My friend has a new dog, it's about 3 months old now, and has never/will never wear a lead.

His dogs are always trained to walk alongside/in front/wherever he tells it so, will stop and sit at crossings, until commanded otherwise.

He's always been this way with his dogs over the years, and he's never had a single incident relating to the dogs behaviour. Never bitten anyone, never run off without being told they can do so, never attacked or even approached another dog without permission.

The person you met shouldn't be characterised as "someone with their dog off the lead", they should be categorised as "a "
Reminds me of something i saw in our local Tescos.2 Rottweilers walking off lead a couple of paces in front of their owner behaving perfectly. These same 2 dogs left sitting outside the store whilst their owner was inside shopping.Again perfectly well behaved off lead waiting for their owner.Noone approached them and they were perfectly calm. These same dogs were seen outside pound stretchers in the high street again sitting off lead calmly waiting off lead for their owner

Someone regularly walks their dogs round my area off the lead about 20m behind them. It's a busy 30mph road although a lot of cars doing nearer 40. They seem harmless enough but I can't help but think one day they will chase something or wonder into the road and that will be that.
