The poor family must have had a horrible couple of months. Bless that farmer.

Hmm. If he had not left a pile of barbed/plain wire on a remote part of his land, then animals (wild or lost domestic ones) might not have got caught up in it. I have a farmhouse with land in a remote area of France 150km away, where I go most weekends/holidays. Given that we can be absent for days/weeks at a time, we're always careful not to leave anything outside which might trap/injure wildlife.

Still odd that she was so far from where last seen, and been gone so long.

She was only about 10 miles from where she was lost which is not really very far if you consider she'd been gone for 2 months. Amazing that she seemed so well, I wonder what she'd been eating all that time?

Oh, not far for 2months at all, but my point is its very unlikely the dog has spent a significant part of the 2 months stuck on the wire. Thats how the story ended, but not the cause of her going missing initially.

In the article, the farmer suggests that he thought she'd been caught in the wire for 4 - 5 days. Not sure how he came to that conclusion though.

No, but their guess is likely as good as any one elses!

Its funny how good you get at making that sort of a call wen you work with animals 24/7 for a lifetime, Same with any other profession.

Or maybe he was in that spot 4 or 5 days ago and the dog wasn't.
