Not sure if this has made the YouTube thread or not, but someone showed me this and although it doesn't relate to either of our cats, it's brilliant all the same. Toyota's latest advert in America:

I found the whole advert distasteful.

It certainly is, not a video for cat lovers in my opinion.

It's not dead! It fakes its death for another ride in the car!

I daresay, but that doesn't stop the whole thing from being something that I would sooner not have watched.

As of the end of this week, the Al-Jalili family will once again have cats in the house!

We used to have Indiana Jones & her half sister Pegerty both Persian cats but Indiana was put down after suffering with lymphatic cancer when she was about 6 years old and Pegerty was put down after kidney failure when she was 13 which is a pretty good age for Persians

Pegerty:

Indiana Jones

At the end of this week, my Dad will be picking up Venus and Ishtar

They are rescue cats, non related and just mogs but we are all super excited smile

Venus

Ishtar

Can see how some cat lovers wouldn't like that but for me the very end bit (won't spoil it) saved it smile That cat reminded me of my folk's old cat, Smeagol:

Rest in Peace, buddy.

Just! Your average, barstard, cross breed, bread on the street, mog, is what this country is made of. They are not just mogs. They are Great Mogs of the UK and they stand united! smile

(awww don't they look cute!)

Lol yes yes I thought after I posted that I perhaps shouldnt have used the word "just" as a way of defining their breed!! laugh

I have a soft spot for little tux's like Ishtar smile

Apparently Venus is quite nervy so we're going to take it nice and slow and my Dad is out buying them all sorts of goodness knows what to get ready for them. Bless him. I however have already bought them two fishing rod sticks with fluffy whatsits on the end even though I know FULL well our old girls loved nothing more than a ball of aluminum foil to chase rolleyes

New kitten has arrived. Yet to be named, but he's a beaut.

The other two cats aren't too convinced, but we're keeping them apart for a few more days...

Wow, can't believe some people on here are so delicate and sensitive. That advert is great, very amusing and a good ending.

I've had cats for all of my 30 years and still go soppy over them all the time but that advert is amusing. It's not real folks, the cat wasn't really hurt, it's all done with computery wizardry!
