Is it true they crave human contact more than furry cats because they need the warmth more?
Well mine does, he's got a couple of blankets that he sleeps in but if theres a lap to be sat on he's always there like it or not. I had a cat bed that hangs on a radiator but I've had to remove it as he's so heavy he's pulling the rad off of the wall.He sweats a lot so the he and what he sleeps in has to be frequently washed.
Sorry to hear you cat's not well.
After my recent thread enquiring about fostering we've decided to go down the rehoming route again.
Went to a cat rescue centre on Saturday and have found two young cats to give a home to.
Mother and son Lacie and Lester. Mother was a stray that had a litter at a very young age so there is only a year or so in age difference between them. They were rescued when the litter was young and have been at the rescue centre ever since. Neither of them have ever been in a house or had any meaningful human contact.
I can see this going to be hard work, but hopefully very rewarding as they learn to trust us.
We're collecting them on Wednesday next week so will post some pictures as soon as they're home.
