Well Loki mad it to his first birthday but had a surprise in store for us.

From this

To this in 24 hours.

Couple of day later the swelling had dropped and he could open his eyes but he still looks like something out of a resident evil film.

Its worrying when the vet says "wow that's spectacular" and then gets everyone in to have a look.

Still waiting for biopsy results but best guess is either allergic reaction or infection followed by an over active immune response.

So on steroids and antibiotics

Hi Will,

I always like to see pics of your doggie Summer and I remember seeing some of you at a running event and her being very muddy. smile

I like this pic above as it shows all four feet off the ground.

I always used to think a dog always had contact with the ground until I saw this video.

Cheetah vs Greyhound - World's Fastest Dog In Super Slow Motion

I thought you might be interested. smile

ETA ...

I hadn't twigged that they run with a " rotary (or rotatory) gallop". I always thought the back legs worked in tandem.

Here are a couple of grabs from the video in case anyone can't view it.

Ted relaxing after having successfully retrieved his bunny

Ted relaxing after plotting world domination.

He spends a lot of time relaxing, for a spaniel, but makes up for it by being totally manic the rest of the time.

Poor Loki, that looks so sore - hope you find out what caused it.

Not yet. Tests should be back from lab in couple of days so hopefully we will find the cause. Just relieved his eyes seem ok

Blimey! Hope Loki recovers quickly. Anything new that he might have stuck his head in? Christmas tree?

She is a Tervuren, one of the 4 types of Belgian Shepherd. Same as KVA's 3

Thanks. I do try and get her out and about a bit smile
That was a good video too. Never seen them running at that many FPS. My camera only goes to about 75FPS so 1/3rd speed.
She will run for hours, we did a 10 miler last weekend and she was pulling well at the end. I have used my sports watch thing to get a GPS speed of 28mph out of her but that was only chasing a ball. Wondering how fast she goes when she claps eyes on a rabbit.

Few more
Watching the seagulls

She will locate shade when she gets too hot running around, this was getting a bit desperate though lol

Couple of shots taken by a better snapper than me

Shame that she had managed to slobber over herself in this one, also she doesnt have a broken nose, she can just wiggle it around when she is sniffing stuff.

And since tis the season, my OH did this to her last year.

Nope got us completely baffled - Halo is absolutely fine and they go everywhere together pretty much. Xmas is running late in our household this year due to work and now this so not a Xmas tree in sight.

Lottie's Christmas scarf stayed in situ for a whole 10 seconds.

Goodness knows where she has hidden it.

Lotties still cute!

Milo, with his blanket - he did this himself after much circling and nose flicking, he was finally comfy.....

I love it when he sleeps like this. Apparently it's a habit of this breed.

Do any other dogs sleep on their backs?nite surrounded by his toys and antlers. He was helping with wrapping by running off with paper and celotape then went to sleep.
