Yes it does seem that way, so hopefully it's just a matter of time.

Fingers crossed.

Just to add, there have now been two sightings at the national trust woodland at the bottom of devils dyke near poynings (I have no idea where that is, but still). So that is at least something, she is likely to be alive (though the local rabbit population might not be faring so well).
I near the bottom of Devils Dyke, Poynings side, so will keep an eye out.

Has the owner updated her details with the microchip company so that she can be reunited when she is found. If not, it would be a good idea.

Yes, I think she has done that now.

Thanks also Merlot, it is appreciated.

And thanks once more on behalf of the poor pooches owner for all the help from the PH people. It is nice to know that there are those who will go far out of their way to help in situations like this.

Spotted again today by all accounts.

To my mind, that's good news in that she's still alive.

Not that I know of I am afraid. I am awaiting a call back from the owner but last I heard the pooch was still being spotted in Poynings (sp?).

Hoping to have good news today as I think they've been out looking.

Good luck, I hope big pooch is found. Must be awful out there alone in the world without your master, irrespective of the time of year frown

Small update:

Dog was spotted on the A281 near Henfield.

So, good news is that she's still alive. Bad news is that she's still at large.

Will take all my pupils for their driving lessons up around the lanes there tomorrow - have seen the posters all around Hove Park and got the mobile number on my phone.

Cheers chaps.

My worry now is she seems to be heading into areas with faster roads, the risk of getting hit by a car is strong, she's not a dog who knows about roadcraft etc.

Be gentle, do not move suddenly, and encourage her. She may be rather nervous at this point so be cautious. Ideally, call the dog warden as well to assist, or even the number of the posters?

TBH I think a spotting will be good news at least, if they know where she is they can keep searching.
