Ok, Sorry Mike I did not see that post. The mobile number is:

07886 271 411

Also, if anyone wants a nice day out tramping through the fields to search for her, there is a search party organised for tomorrow from 9am, details are:

MEET AT THE GINGER FOX, just off the sharp turn into Henfield
- BRING WALKING SHOES / WELLIES - she's usually in a farmers field!
- BINOCULARS if you have them
- DOG TREATS of any kind might be useful.

And generally wrap up warm.

Yes, they are going to try some new ideas this week by all accounts.

Personally, I am wondering how hard it is to get hold of a tranquiliser gun......

Would it not be worth having a chat with the local veterinary surgery that deals with larger animals and getting a tranquiliser gun?

Failing that, we give Mr T and the boys a call. Maybe they can quickly rustle up a dog catching vehicle from old washing up liquid bottles.

I haven't noticed any further progress with this. Did you get your dog back?

I am afraid that the owner has not even had sightings of her for over a week. Worrying, given the weather, but they are a fairly hardy dog.

My main concern is that she is going to be less and less people-friendly as time goes on and therefore harder to catch.

I cant even begin to think what the owner of this dog must be going through.

I really hope they have some good news soon.

Well, she was spotted Friday in Poynings again opposite the village hall, so it seems she is sticking around there. Which is good news on two fronts, at least she is alive, and at least she has not been stolen.

But sadly no closer to catching her it seems.

That's been a very long time now! frown

If her whereabouts are known; can people not get in about and make a concerted effort to get hold of her?

Apologies, I haven't been following the whole post, so I may have missed something.

Best of luck to those involved.

Cheers,

Eric smile

I am sure this had been thought of ,but are the local press/radio aware of the situation? Such publicity could be very much a double edged sword, but such a human interest story would be bound to attract their attention, especially at this time of year.

Good news that she has been spotted, and she does seem to be keeping herself going, which is a good sign at least.

If I was not so far away, I would come and help search any time.

Best of luck.

There is a couple who see her every day, and they are now leaving food out for her everyday so she seems to be sticking to the same territory.

Currently plans are afoot to build a "trap" and see how that goes.

Personally I am highly nervous about what impact upon her this situation will have on a dog who was already not settled in her new home etc... but I hope she will be caught, and be fine.
