So awful for poor Lucy but what a wonderful outcome for her, sounds like she will be falling on her feet with you .
The pics don't seem to be showing on here, as sad as it will be to see her in her current sate it would be lovely to see her progress into a healthy happy dog. Good luck with her.

Fast dog in a fast car. Dizzee's an ex-racer (Ireland and Sunderland). She likes riding in the Chimaera:
Kit's also from Ireland. His racing name is Over A Pint. He only has his canine teeth left, which makes him extra special.
We've adopted both from the North Yorkshire Retired Greyhound Trust.

Out of curiosity (as we've just adopted a lurcher) what type of doggie harness do you use in the Chim ? Think I'll be needing one for the Griff once Lucy is up to full health.
Just trying to persuade my wife that what I really want for my birthday is this....
she is a lovely little greyhound aged about 2 1/2 that was red carded from racing and has been in the kennels for about 6 months. Her only problem is that when anyone tries to get her out of her kennel she gets so giddy and over excited she becomes a sort of strange cross between a greyhound and a kangaroo lol and this seems to put potential owners off her, which is really disappointing she just needs a loving and a little bit of discipline.

Ours is a Sunderland ex-racer from Ireland too.

Well its just over 2 weeks since Lucy arrived home so I thought I'd give a quick update.
She has now started to grow fur and she is the most friendly dog who follows us everywhere like a shadow. She has been introduced to our 2 cats, one of which now actually gets on fine with her - the other has taken to being an upstairs cat ( Lucy isn't allowed upstairs !! ).
Health wise she has put on 3kg and is developing muscle again. Easter Saturday she actually broke into a gallop for the first time since being rescued (albeit chasing a rabbit in the woods with Mrs MoJo's parents' Lurcher and Terrier - still not able to keep up for long).
Over all she is a delight to have as part of the family, even if she still isn't quite sure why she gets told off for weeing in the house yet !!
She also loves lying in the sun so we have been told to rub factor 15 in which she seems to enjoy !!

Bless her, learning to be a normal dog again . Re the weeing, try and ignore when she wees indoors (dogs hate being ignored more than being told off) but praise lots as soon as she goes outside and be vigilant take her out lots and after every meal, every play, every sleep and every time she circles and sniffs the ground! Just like you would with a pup.
Glad she is coming on so well
