Sounds like the girth wasn’t done up properly on the saddle, it shouldn’t have slipped round, it sounds like a st school tbh, putting a nervous rider on a dick of a horse.

Why would they put you on a horse like that ? Hope that you recover well and find a new riding school, one which has half a clue

This morning we took our horse for a walk down the lane as he’s been a little lame and is coming back to work. It’s a dead end so no cars and we headed towards a bridle way. About 150 metres ahead we saw a horse stood in the road and could not see an owner

As we neared we took the lead rope from our horse (left his head collar on ) and I held our horse and my wife approached and caught the other gelding.

It looked like he had come through the fence and over some barbed wire and could not get back in. I knocked on the door of what I hoped was the owner who answered in his boxers, explained that he had a heavy night and the horses did belong on his land. He put some shoes on and we handed the horse back to him (still in his boxers) and left .

Our horse then marched on his walk so he go back and check all was ok. Good way to meet a neighbour who seemed really nice and the horses were all returned to their owners
