Cat dragging arse around....

Last night, I had to giggle, as Lizzie was all asleep lying on my wife. Wifey had to go and dry her hair so moved Lizzie onto the sofa.

Instead of walking over to lie on me, she proceeded to slide her back legs and arse across the sofa to get to me, using her front legs to propel her.

Is she wiping her bottom on my lounge furniture for a reason? Worms?

Sounds like worms, we are talking about the cat though and not you're wife....Right.

One or the other I suspect.

Our cat drags his arse along the floor when he has poo stuck to his fur, usually leaving a brown trail behind him fortunately the flat isn't carpeted, it also can be a symptom of worms.

If there's no poo on the floor possibly think about taking her to the vets (has she been wormed?)

Could be full anal glands, most cats are wormed regularly enough to prevent it being that, though certainly possible (how often do you worm your cat and what with)

Cats don't get anal gland probs as often as dogs but they do the same thing (scooting along the floor) my cat gets it occ, actually he did it the other day. If it is anal glands a vet may need to empty them (not easy in a cat!)

If not wormed for several months get a vet standard worming treatment (not pet shop) that does tapeworm and roundworm ensure dose correct for weight.
