Quick iPhone snap of my new Kribs. The female doesn't seem to like the male very much though!

Another pleco of mine, a lovely Green Phantom called Gino. Rare one, as he has a high dorsal fin.

My 180l juwel rio. Usually doesnt have the internal filter but Id put it in just incase while I went on holiday.
2x white white t5
1x white t8
1x blue t8
Bigish external filter
Powerhead that isnt run often.

(crap phone pic)

The plan was upgrade to the 300l, have all demasoni and another kind of cichlid I got a breeding set of from a friend, the females stayed yellow while the males went white and blue with yellow tipped fins, but stayed about the same size as the demasoni. I bred 2 sets of fry but put them back in with bigger fish too early and they unfortunatly all got munched before I could save them. Then the two males died so that was that. Then alot of the demasoni ate eachother over time so I put my 'mixed cichlids' back in so I didnt have to run two tanks. Just some orange blotch peacocks and some blue/greeny ones I cant remember the names of. They breed alot, so plenty of smaller fish in the rocks aswell.
Pleco is a sailfin that will be going soon.

Im not sure what to do next, considering possibly marine. Probably just stick with freshwater.

Cheers.

What size tank is it? It looks nice but probably a bit small for some of the fish you have in there.

I can spot two in the first pic wink

To me it is overstocked, and will be too small for the angels.

However, I'm just a bloke of t'interweb. Looks stunning, beautifully clean, and the fish do look healthy.

In order of priority:

Angels. They'll outgrow that tank quickly - the minimum size I usually hear banded about (and one I agree with) is 3ft long and with a minimum height of 15-18 inches due to their body shape. And I can't see if you've got any small tetra size fish in there but if you do, you won't have as the angels grow:
http://www.seriouslyfish.com/profile.php?genus=Pte...

Tiger barbs. Fin nippers (unless in a good sized group) and they are very active, and deserve at least a 3ft setup:
http://www.seriouslyfish.com/profile.php?genus=Pun...

Personally I think 46L is too small for Rams, I've kept a few and wouldn't look at any less than 65L for a pair. And they should have a sand substrate really - they find food (amongst other ways) by sifting sand through their mouth. (Their latin name - microgeophagus ramirezi - means 'small earth eaters.') I've kept them with gravel before but it's not ideal:
http://www.seriouslyfish.com/profile.php?genus=Mik...

If I were you I'd think about taking the tigers back and swapping them for Pentazona barbs - they look similar but are much milder natured, and whilst still active they aren't quite as bad as Tigers. I think they're a really underrated fish that colour up nicely in good quality water. Although I'd be more inclined (depending on how many fish you've got in there anyway) to say you'd be better off just removing them and not replacing them.

With the angels, I'd just get rid. They're beautiful fish but they really shouldn't be kept in that size tank.

With the Ram's I'd take a chance if you've only got one or a pair but have a think about swapping substrate. I'm a fan of play sand as a substrate anyway - it comes out a lovely light colour that tends to brighten the tank and it opens your stocking options. Caveat: I don't know what filtration the Edge's use, if it's an undergravel filter that's not an option. For an internal filter it's fine however.

And the tank seems a little small for Rummy Noses IMO. A smaller tetra (once the angels are gone) would be better - cardinals or embers (the latter being a personal favourite.)

What else have you got in the tank, and in what numbers? It just looks generally overstocked from those photo's for a small tank.

I've got two golden rams, which appear to be in the process of breeding, two balloon rams who have coloured up beautifully, 6 tigers, a Siamese, 1 angel (the other died shortly after I brought him home, explained to fish shop that all other fish were fine and was told it isn't uncommon for a pair to fight for dominance in a new tank), 2 rummy nose, a peppered cory, and 5 red finned tetra. and two dwarf gourami. Oh and a sucking loach.

Some of these are to be transferred into another tank I'm in the process of setting up though so stock levels will drop.

Only just popped back in here to see the updates with tanks, and I agree with what people are saying.

How long has that tank been running for? My neighbour has one the same next door and he has had 4 guppies off me, he also has 3 zebra's in there and I have explained that he is already full too capacity and should not put anything more in there.

Looking at your pics I can see you have a lot more than that in there.

How are you finding the tank maintenance?

This is a good site to help beginers - http://www.howmanyfish.com/#page=page-1

Its always good to remember that its not just the size of the tank to consider, but the surface area of the tank to help with gas excange. These tanks are known for being bad in that area as they do have a small surface area compared to the tank size.

If you have a little look at that website, don't forget to alter the surface area after you put the dimensions in.

That will give you more of an idea of the difference of stocking levels with this type of tank.
