Excellent place to visit for a couple of days. I would suggest the following (all reachable by public transport)

The old Fiat factory at Lingotto (sp), its now a very nice hotel and shopping complex but if you are crafty you can get on the roof to have a look at the test track as featured on Italian Job and the double helix ramp up to it is an engineering masterpiece.

Musee d'Automobili - a splendid collection of Ferrari and other Italian greats. Also if I recall correctly one of the Paris Peking race entrants. You also go past the large curved roofed building driven up in Italian job if you go on the bus from city centre. Think its a kindergarten now!

The City itself is also well worth a look. There is a big square to the North with the Cathedral and a large Palace there is also tucked away a magnificent painted church. Whilst I don't think the original is actually out on display the church where the Turin shroud is kept is also worth a visit.

The station is interesting if you like your architecture. Subways around station also feature in Italian job.

Lots of nice Cafes etc in the collonades round the squares for a coffee and a break!

And the way they drive you'll be glad you don't have a hire car.....

What no mention of the Italian Job?! You can spot many of the scene locations from the original film.

It was over 10 years ago I went, and I was only there 2 days, but I do remember going round a really ornate palace in/near the centre that was quite spectacular.

If you like football how about getting a ticket to a Juventus game if they are at home? Should be fairly cheap. Think the ground is just outside the city centre.

Thanks for all the replies. Back home this morning.

Visit the Auto museum which was fantastic and most of the Italian job locations. Next time i'll hire a car and do some exploring further afield!
