Hotels in Rothenburg

Just starting to plan our trip to Monaco next May and I'm looking for nice hotels to stayed route

Rothenburg d Tauber is the first stop over, any ideas as to which hotel to book?

Can't help with hotels there but Rothenburg ob der Tauber is a charming place, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

We had a Euro trip planned earlier this year, culminating in a tour of the BMW factory in Munich. Sadly due to a huge fail on my part we didn't get to Germany, but had we the plan was to stay here:

I was there this year - fantastic and very historic place - you must visit the medievil museum of torture so so so fascinating.

Anyway, the hotel Goldener was cool, has its own pool/snooker room and the dining room for brekki has a great views over the town walls and down onto the surrounding countryside. Its also very centrally located.

I'll be going back at some point in the future. Their xmas market must be very special. And they have Europes biggest xmas store apparently which has so much xmas stuff ts unreal. If you want xmas decorations this is THE place to go and its open all year round.

Thanks very much for the replies, plenty for me to look at. Following the stop at Rothenburg we will follow the Romantic Route down to Fussen.

Then it's southwest towards Gap where we plan to meet up with our friends and we will then head for Menton to watch the Historic GP at Monaco.

Can't wait!
