Any ideas on how to get up to the next level from Blue? - I spend circa 5K a year on flights with BA and again missed out this year by 15 points before they got reset back to zero and have to start again...

25 flights or 300 tier points in a single year gets you moved up to bronze.

London to JFK in Economy gets you 35 pts one way, in Business it's 140 points.

Heathrow to Manchester return 15 times is enough to take you up to Bronze.

I'd have thought £5k spend in a year would be more than enough to move you up, are you sure you entered your exec club number on every flight? If not you can claim the points retrospectively.

Are you always buying tickets that earn tier points? Not all economy tickets do.

If you're that close, do a tier point run to Paris or Amsterdam. At AMS you can get off the plane, walk 30m, turn round and get back on to come home...
