Driving from Zurich to Milan
Discussion
Hi everyone,
As per thread title, I have done the Zurich to Milan journey several times by train (the scenery as expected is breath taking). I would therefore like to hire a car and drive. I have read that there are essentially 2 main paths:
(1) around the north side of the alps (Interlaken, Berner Oberland, Lausanne, Brig/Zermatt/Matterhorn maybe, St Bernard Pass and into Italy)
or (2) bypass Lucerne to the south side of the alps on the way down through Ticino (Locarno, Lugano, Torino, etc).
Do anyone have any advice? Anyone done this?
Much appreciated.
Thanks
