My kids enjoyed the zoo, and Sentosa Island (particularly the aquarium) maybe worth a look:

We also did a "duck" sight seeing ride which was a bit of fun..

Just back after a two week trip with a 4 year old...high/lowlights...

Zoo - great, particularly breakfast "with" orangutans. River safari opening soon, which looks good.

Sentosa - Universal is good (but hot, and the "family" rides are really busy whilst the adult ones are not midweek). Oceanarium is really good. Dads will love the Luge. Beaches are OK.

SnowCity and Science Museum - The snow is a bit silly, and not worth the trip on its own, but kind of odd fun. Science Museum next door is utterly brilliant, loads for kids to do. Not busy midweek apart from the odd school trip. An arse to get to, as it is badly (i.e. not at all) signposted walk from the MRT. Cab it.

The Flyer - pretty tedious, and you can't see much.

Skypark at Marina Sands - better view than the Flyer, but a lot of money to get vertigo smile

Duck tour - Great fun.

Jurong Bird park - really good. The Lorry Loft is hilarious, but maybe a little scary for little ones, the birds are very friendly (one sat on my shoulder and nibbled by hair for 10 mins).

River tour - quite good, down the River from Clarke Quay and into the Marina and back.

ChinaTown / Sri Mariman - just about held the interest of a 4 year old. More fun was Satay at Lau Pa Sat close by.

+1 on Noger's suggestions.

Assuming you have already had breakfast with monkeys then going back to the night zoo after dark is actually pretty cool.

A trick to save money at the Skypark at Marina Sands. Go to the lobby desk for the Ku De Ta Restaurant. Ask to go there for lunch or afternoon tea/drinks. It is on the podium level of the sky deck. Easy to have a drink/relax/cool down/enjoy the view and then as you leave, have a quick free prowl around the sky deck. Even better send the kids out to run around while you and the missus have one or two drinks.

Consider some longer organized day trips like the one to Malacca.

Agreed, but it is busy so you can't guarantee getting the first available tram. Depending on the child and their age, they may be asleep before it even starts smile

Another +1 on this. Very cool being in rainforest at night. So many interesting sounds!

I was there briefly in June last year and if you've never been anywhere like it before try and prepare yourself for the humidity, it's insane!! Have a shower nice and dry, walk 100 feet from hotel to somewhere and you'll be sweating like a pig and i'm in reasonably good shape! Get your kids used to drinking a lot of water if they aren't already, they will probably need it.

You'll have a great time though, only wish I could have stayed longer smile

The "original" moved in the mid 90s. More recently it was on Clarke Quay. Seems to now be on a side road by Lau Pa Sat, the carts open up in the evening and they close the road to put up temporary tables.

No 1 stall, fat man satay, was interesting as they use minced meat.

We stopped off in Sing. on Honeymoon and met up with a mate who I'd not seen for years. Of all the things people have listed - many of which I would have loved to have seen - he took us to a brothel filled with transexuals, that appeared to be at the top of a shopping mall. It was quite quite odd. Here's to a happy marriage darling hehe

That's the fella. It was off Orchard road so more than likely. There was my wife and I, my mate and his wife, some crew of a UK rig support ship, and a the off-watch element of US sub crew in.

My mate's wife wouldn't let my wife go to the toilet on her own as she's 6' as she was worried she'd get hassle from the TS lovers hehe

It was certainly an entertaining night out playing spot the Adam' apple. I must admit, in my beery state, I would have been fooled on several occasions. Even my wife couldn't tell and was pissed at the fact that a lot of them looked more girly than she does.

ooh the 4 floors. Spent many happy hours there, once saw a piss*d american thinking he had won the lottery when he picked up two "Ladies". Bet he got a shock in the morning.

PLaces to visit. Well I always eat in the Hawker Centres. Foods as cheap as anything and far better then anything you will have eaten in the UK. THey look a bit rough but beleive me they are worth it.

China Town and Little India are great places to walk around.

You will, of course, have to go to Raffles for a Spore Sling, prepare yourself as they are not cheap.

It's the ONLY city I like visiting.

If you can't get to where you want to go on the MRT get a taxi, they are fairly cheap.
