Agreed, but it is busy so you can't guarantee getting the first available tram. Depending on the child and their age, they may be asleep before it even starts
Another +1 on this. Very cool being in rainforest at night. So many interesting sounds!rhinochopig said:
It was certainly an entertaining night out playing spot the Adam' apple. I must admit, in my beery state, I would have been fooled on several occasions. Even my wife couldn't tell and was pissed at the fact that a lot of them looked more girly than she does.
But the quality of the work is impressive at 4FoW. Ask the TS's and they will give you a gander. When we were based out there for a few months a mate used to collect snaps There's a lot of guff about trannys in OT being posted. There are a number of them but the vast majority of girls are real girls. If you stick to Ipanema you won't go wrong even if you are drunk. Crazy Horse is a different matter.
I think we may have drifted from the OPs original topic though. For the kids Sentosa & the night zoo are good & plenty of other suggestions have been made. Chinatown has a lot of tat in the shops & Little India is probably more more ethnic & interesting. I'd say make sure your hotel has a pool as the kids will always enjoy that. Use the MRT (underground) as it's very efficient & cheap.
I thought Raffles was rubbish; when I went they had Singapore Slings made up in gallon plastic containers under the bar counter ready to dish out to the tourists.
Clarke Quay is prime tourist area & very nice to stroll along one evening. Singapore can be expensive though so unless you look for the food courts don't expect to skimp on the budget. £6 for 2/3 pint of beer!
