Driving in Poland (Krakow to Wroclaw)
Discussion
Outside of Warsaw I found the driving to be very courteous, people moved over for quicker vehicles to allow overtakes on 2 lane roads and the main routes were of a standard the UK could learn from. I made the mistake of taking advice from TomTom regarding a shortcut at one point and ended up on cobbles / dirt for about 5 miles but otherwise it was generally a joy.
There seems to be a lot of craters in towns / cities and constant road works but on the whole it was a good experience. You can also buy pickles, mushrooms, full size dinosaurs and ladies at the side of the road.

Roadworks wont be lit up depending on where you go - had a near crash outside Katowice on the A4 (which you'll be traveling on) when, bumbling along at 140kmh, the carriageway just swerved 4 lanes to the left...
Truckers can be a pain in the arse, apart from that its a very smooth good road, there are speed cameras down that stretch, and IIRC quite big chunks of it around Kato and Gliwice were 120kmh because there was no hard shoulder...
