Black Forest, Germany - Chalet/Lodge etc

Hi all...

we're hoping to go visit some friends in Germany this summer, and were thinking about renting a chalet/log-cabin type thing in the black forest somewhere...

Anybody got any good tips/recommendations etc for this?

some googling resulted in lots of search-engine type rental sites, but nothing very informative.

Also, any particular towns or attractions we should aim for?

Passed through black forest a couple of years ago on way back from alps. One place sticks in my mind . Triberg. Lovely town,, woodland walk around waterfall. loads of shops selling cookoo clocks. and worlds biggest cookoo
clock.
