It's been on and off for a while.

First strike was about pay, the last one was about a worker returning to work that the others weren't happy about.

Knowing unions, and the French, it could just be hit and miss as to whether they're working when someone visits.

no, I think you are mistaken ... Jamie is right, there aren't people inside some silly outfits, next you'll be saying that Mickey and Minnie aren't real or something.

Have visited Disneyland Paris several times as my ex was a big kid and loved it there. One time I managed to save us a packet by booking us into the Novatel that is just outside of the ring of Disney hotels. Like the Disney hotels it has a shuttle bus but unlike the Disney hotels it isn't all Disney themed and didn't have them ramming upsell options down your throat. I considered that to be a distinct advantage and an oasis of normality after a day's sensory assault of all things Disney, but my ex disagreed and said it wasn't "as much fun" as a Disney hotel.

I guess you pay your money and make your choice.

Poor relation of the proper Disney in Florida, wouldn't waste my time with it TBH.

Just my opinion of course.

jesus £4k for 5 nights - would have been much more to go to Florida?
No £2000 without the spends. I have done Florida before, but I don't want to travel that far with my two just yet.

The last time I visited Florida it cost me a fair bit more than £4000! But I did stay outside of the local Disney area in a luxery private villa and hired a nice big ford van (F350 I think?) so that all came at a price.

For the same reasons, the trip to Euro Dusney is a bit more expensive. If I wanted to travel cheap and sleep in a sardine tin, then we could have easily knocked a grand off the spend.

Luckily it's not about the money, and as its August when we go, we could have 'done' Florida easily, but I have been several times, however a few days away in France, isnt quite as military as Florida will no doubt be.

Had I gone there totally unaware of the cost, I would have been a bit pissed, BUT as its for my children, and I'm mature enough to suck it up in order for them to have fun, that's exactly what I will do.
Also, I personally think that all that Florida has to offer is slightly waisted on children who cannot experience everything, and unless you are travelling in a large group where you can share child are responsibilities, you will no doubt miss out on quite a lot of things while waiting for the 'swapover' on rides.

We have a 'Florida Fund' with a good some of money in it already, but the thought of taking a whining 4 year old there at the moment doesn't bring me much joy.
