Off to Cancun, Mexico in 4 weeks and was told by our travel agent to get injections before we go (they didn`t know which ones).

A quick Google shows the need for 2:

Typhoid
Hepetitis A (Haverix vaccine?)

Can anyone confirm or deny if these are correct and also how long before going I should go and get them. My missus asked her Dr and they started googling it to check, so don`t want to just leave it to them to "guess".

Cheers in advance

Cheers Les

I was thinking Tetanus as well (god knows when I last had one!).

I'm off there in 4 weeks too (well, only the airport, off on travels after getting out the aiport!) smile Confirmed Hep A (get booster within one year (apparently not 6 months anymore) to be immunized for life), Typhoid, and Tetanus booster (if you need it). The Typhoid jab - little tip - drink water and take a paracetamol... smile

I felt it a little more than the Tetanus... but it was the light headed feeling afterwards that got me more! The water and paracetamol was a hint from the nurse smile (You don't need a doctor for these jabs, the nurse can do them!)
