Only hotel I stayed in London in was the Thistle Westminster abour 5 years ago seemed nice at the time and room was huge (Double Double) family room and it was right next to Buckingham Palace smile

Dad has stopped in the Grovsenor a few times through work and said that was a lovely place no idea on the prices though as it was always all paid for :/

Whenever I venture down to the Big Smoke, this place has always served me well.

Stayed in the St Paul's one once, seem to remember it was nice. Not the biggest room though. Seemingly perfect for business stays though.

My favourite is currently the Bloomsbury Hotel on Great Russell Street. (Staying there at least once a week at the moment). But their leisure package, includes brekkie (very good), £10 off food and drink and late checkout. Cost me £225 last week, £180 the week before.

Tip for getting a proper double bed and not a single at any hotel - when you do the online booking say its for 2 adults, buy breakfast separately.

Other hotels I like in central London (there are few)

Park Lane Hilton nearest thing to good far east hotel
Ambassadors Bloomsbury (ok but not as good as the Bloomsbury Hotel)
Citadines for Serviced Apartments but not as luxurious as Ambassadors

Be wary of some hotels exorbitant breakfast charges (Grange Hotels can cost circa £30-40 per head!)

Favourite hotel in London, beds are so comfy I never wanted to get out of them.

Slap in the middle of Leicester Sq & Covent Garden. Handy for everything.

Once I had stayed a couple of times, I then used to get upgraded for no extra fee.

Free entry to Bungalow 8 as well smile

I use the Westminster Bridge Park Plaza a fair bit. It's fine, although a bit characterless. I pay 170 quid a night.

OP, I have a client that owns/ runs various spa resort hotels around the world. They also own a couple of very nice hotels in London and Restaurants if you need food. If you wouldn't mind pinging me an email I'm happy to put you on touch. (already discussed your requirements with them) I can't PM you from the mobile site and won't be home for a day or so.
