Ferry Skiathos to Skopelos

Anybody used this? I'm looking to book a holiday in Skopelos, but need to organise the transfer myself. How far is the port from the airport? Is it an easy trip (wife's not fully mobile at present). Any information gratefully received.

Haven't been to the area for some years but as memory recalls Skiathos airport is just a couple of miles from the town centre - you can see/hear the aircraft landing across the bay.

As for the ferries, I haven't used them as I was sailing around the Spods but Skopelos is only 5-6 miles from Skiathos so the ferry will take 30 mins to the west coast. If you're staying in Skopelos town however that's the other side of the island so would add another 30-45 mins to the ferry at a guess. You are aware that Skopelos town is on quite a steep hillside? If your missus has mobility issues may not be the best place to go.

^^^^ All good advice... Haven't been for about 20 years so things may have changed, but stayed in Skiathos and did the ferry trip to Skopelos - much preferred Skiathos TBH!
