Another vote for Threadneedles from me. It's a very nice place, very close to Bank tube station, and it's quieter there at the weekends when the city empties out a bit.

Rooms there are quite nice and the location is fantastic. Most importantly you get a TV in the bog.

very modern, would use it again, was about £140 for the night

And me...loved it. The only down side is the restaurant is not open at weekends. breakfast is still on though.
