As per the title really. Myself and the OH are looking to go in Septemeber - we'd like somewhere not too expensive, but reasonably quiet with some nice restuarants nearby.
Any suggestions?
Kefalonia. Any suggestions?
I prefer Fiskardo, but Skala is very nice as well.
Stunning place. Been to most islands and mainland, but Kefalonia is my preferred place.

Funnily enough I went there about 7 years ago.
It was pretty good - we went off season so it was pretty quiet, but yeah feel free to update when you get back
I am trying to think of the name of the hotel we are staying at but I chose it as Trip Advisor rates it very highly and apparently there aren't many kids staying there (which is great for us)It was pretty good - we went off season so it was pretty quiet, but yeah feel free to update when you get back
Ok cool will let you know when I get back
Another place that my mates seem to like is Halkadiki but I dont know it myself

Get yourself up to Rhodes town and visit a restaurant called 'El Tamam'; it is just about my favourite place to eat in the entire world, <10 minutes walk from the old walled town. Some of the bars/cafes up high in Lindos are really nice places to sit with a beer too.

Cheers I will make a note of it, not sure if we are in Lindos or Lardos now, waiting for the OH to come back off lunch and I will get the hotel name but will go to El Tamam regardlessSome of the bars/cafes up high in Lindos are really nice places to sit with a beer too.
If you want a cheap get away but a nice hotel I'd recomend the hotel Anastasia in stalis on the crete island. Lovley smallish hitel, half board with lovly food. I get flights on sky scanner for around £150 and email the owner and book through him, quite often does deals out of school holidays too. And transfers when I book the flights are usually only about 11 quid.
Not beach front but about 5min walk away, plenty of restaurants about and places to go see.
Hotel is no.1 on trip advisor aswell

i have been to Rhodes 6 times in recent years, best further down toward the south of the island where you have Lindos and Pefkos, beautifull views, cracking restraurants, the locals are all very friendly, prices not too bad.have been sat in the bay in Lindos mid august and it was in the 40's.a very relaxing part of the world.
We're going to Sivota (mainland on a peninsula across from the bottom of Corfu) in a couple of weeks. Will let you know what it's like. Looks really nice, quite basic, but has a small marina and some good food apparently. Holiday was very cheap, about £250 each with flights and transfers.
