Check Trip Advisor we were thinking of going last year but most of the reviews said it had been taken over by Russians and they were less than pleasant to be on holiday with

I've added Sharks Bay to the other two.

I have read reviews on all three, and they are all pretty much the same yes

Stayed for a week at the Renaissance golden view about 2 years ago and it was really nice if a little quiet, has a couple of nice pools and a private beach and jetty that goes out over a reef that I'm told was really good for snorkelling/diving. Didn't eat there so don't know about there restaurants though. Also accidentally left my camera on a sofa near reception while we went out for the day and it was waiting for me at reception when we got back which was a relief and pleasant surprise.

If you are going to spend a bit of time at naama bay it is a shortish taxi ride away but there is a small town with some shops and restaurants within walking distance and there is some kind of horse show and meal type thing just down the road(didn't go so don't know anything about the show)

If I was going to Sharm again I would stay there again, it's out of the hustle and bustle but close enough to everything so it's not a pain to get out and about.

Anymore questions just ask.

I've stayed at the Grand Plaza and the Sheraton. Out of the two the Sheraton was nicer, although nothing was wrong with the Grand Plaza.

Hyatt or four seasons if you want the best, stayed at both and they are both superb, there are many others that have 5* but they don;t come close

OP - dont do it. Sharm has turned into a pit over the past few years. Full of arrogant russians and the 18-30's brigade.

If you want egypt, incredible diving and nice people look up Marsa alam.

Particularly the iberotel coraya beach resort and the hilton nubian resort. Stayed at both and will be going back in october.

I've been to Sharm twice since 2009. We've stayed in the Kiroseiz (severe stomach bug from there) in 2009 and Jaz Mirabel Park in May of this year. Jaz Mirabel Park is an excellent hotel but it is in Nabq which is about 20 minutes from Naama Bay. I'd have no problems recommending it.

The diving is excellent as well.

It was 3 years ago now but the Marriott Beach was fantastic!

Far enough from Namma bay as to not get the noise ect, but close enough to walk, fantastic beach and great service!

Would recommend!
