Hello all,

I'm the best man for my friend's wedding and my first task is the Stag Weekend. There will be about 10 of us aged 32 - 62. Has anyone suggest good locations/activities they have experienced.

Also, there are a number of stag weekend websites about. Has anyone used any of them? Were they any good?

And the reason I mentioned the that this is a slightly older crowd is that we won't be getting wasted and we won't be needing strippers! We just need some good bars and some fun activities (guns and/or cars!)

Eastern Europe would be preferable for some of the activities on offer (AK47s!) but we could do something in the UK instead.

Cheers.

I'll get an early vote in for Bulgaria's capital; Sofia.

It has a certain charm and an understated 'coolness' that should appeal to your age ranges from thumping clubs to more sophisticated Piano Bars and plenty of the usual stag attractions nearby - karting, paint balling, skiing, etc.

Cheap to get to and cheap when you're there.

It's not the sort of place where being stupid buggers is put up with so is devoid of the normal over the top rowdiness associated with some places.

Good buddy of mine, Steve, works for these guys http://www.redsevenleisure.co.uk/

Can't hurt to give him a call and tell him what you're after and see if he can help smile

Thanks for the advice. That site looks good and they have some pretty reasonable deals to Sofia. Just need to check the weather there in October...

There is always Spain or the Canaries and spending money on the apparently numerous karting tracks that always seem deserted. I took my daughter to one in Roquetas de Mar. I think it was about 40 Euros for not very long but maybe you could negotiate something given they always appear dead.
