Hello!

I realise there is a thread ongoing at the moment about Florida Villas, but bear with me...

A group of mates (say, eight of us, aged 21-25) are looking at heading to Florida at the tail end of next summer (first couple of weeks of September). We're looking at renting out a villa for a fortnight, but it would be great to be within walking distance to nice beaches/bars etc - we're thinking something a bit like Balboa Island but in FL. Does this kind of thing exist? Any pointers?

We 'did' California last year, and we'd love to give the East Coast a go this year, but none of us really know what we're looking at there. We're basically after a chilled, relatively inexpensive break, with plenty of beach and a bit of nightlife, preferably within walking distance of our place to stay.

While we're at it, it would be great to take a look at things like the Kennedy Space Center (we'll be hiring a car or two so no issues there), and generally do a bit of exploring of the area!

Any help would be much appreciated!

Try here.

Its quiet. Has nice beaches, a few bars and places to eat.

You do need a car to get there (unless you fly there).

Its very relaxing

We rented a lovely little 'condo' there.

You may struggle to get a villa that will accept that many people of your age - they'll assume you'll all be drunk, noisy and upset the neighbours!

I may be wrong, but I've booked a villa in Florida a few times and they've always had rules to that effect, the company we booked through last year wanted copies of passports of everyone staying there sent in advance, and our relationship to each other.
