Off to Orlando in November with Virgin. I could book the Mustang Convertible though Virgin BUT has anybody been recently? If so would I be better off upgrading there and what are the chances of ACTUALLY getting the Mustang? Would I be better off booking a Camaro from the UK for example? Just for clarity it's just me and My Daughter and I have left the car at Chevrolet Aveo or similar at the Moment.

Have a look at Hertz - they have a sale on at the moment and the prices are pretty good. I just booked 2 weeks in a Mustang Coupe which was about £270 including extra Quidco discount. They also have Mustang Cabrios and Camaros available too.

You could try to upgrade when you get there and this has worked well for me in the past. However I always try to book something I'd be happy using if the worst came to the worst and there were no upgrades available.

In your case, I'd probably book the Mustang coupe and upgrade to a Cabrio when I got out there. Every time I've been to MCO the hire car park has always been stuffed full of Mustang Cabrios so you'd stand a good chance of getting one.

A hidden bonus with the current Hertz sale is that as it's 20% off you'll also get 20% off any upgrade price they charge you when you're there. I discovered this by accident when I upgraded to a Camaro SS for a bargain price a couple of years ago.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Tophatron, A Mustang for the dates I want would be £283.81 incl CDW. The Upgrade to the Convertible would be £261.84 Incl CDW. I suppose that would be more expensive but As I'm a real roof person it sort of appeals more.
