And buy the mozzie repellent whilst you are there.

I'll get some pics of my travels up this evening.

Timely thread.....

We're (wife plus 14 & 11yr old) visiting Phucket + Khaolak in April next year for the 1st time, one week in each with 2 days in Khao Sok National park trekking rafting, etc.

All other trips we're planning to book when there, apparently there's more choice and it's cheaper. Any good suggestions for trips / days out? (diving is also on the agenda)
I'm now looking at Khao Sok tours... they look awesome!
I've just emailed the missus to see if she fancies a night there.

Make sure you explain to the wife about the mozzies and leeches. If you're properly prepared for rainforest it's utterly beautiful.
On the flight over.....biggrin

Given the track record with helicopters, and pilots in Thailand, you are a braver man than me getting in one of them there

In order to keep retired army pilots in a job (the ones that make it to retirement), only Thai's can be Commercial Helicopter pilots.

The Thai Army / Airforce is down to 2 helicopters at last count because they keep breaking down / being crashed by their pilots ....

Their track-record is not exactly up there ....
