Ile de Noirmoutier

Hi any one been? Thinking of a week or two in June. Looking for a relaxing place, dog walking on beaches seafood restaurants that sort of thing.
Any recommendations?

Used to go there every year as a kid, but not been in ages ...

Lovely place, with some busy areas (Noirmoutier-en-l'ile itself) and some quieter ones.
Some lovely beaches (Plage des dames), nice ports and all...

Excellent memories of going there, so I can only recommend !

Sounds perfect, thanks for your comments, we've booked a gite for 2 weeks in June.

Mr Magoo, we will have an overnighter @ Montreuil-sur-Mer and then drive down to Noirmoutier. Where would be a good place for a lunch stop? Just a light lunch, I'm driving after all. Nowhere too busy but a pretty village or small town 3-4hrs from Montreuil to wander round and stretch our legs.

I may pop up there for a long weekend in my camper.
