Where was I? Vol 3
Discussion
Is that the great north run or something? Not a castle I recognise. It's Norman. The side buildings resemble northern mills, but stonework doesn't suggest Scotland. So we're still in England. But north of Manchester. But close enough to Scotland for some scot stone to be used.
Many stone keeps were built on roman fortifications, so I'm thinking a northern city with roman origins.
Looking at the other buildings and the colour of the stone, I'm going for an area. it's in a blob of England with Carlisle and Newcastle at the top, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool at the bottom.
Somewhere in that area. I can't be more specific. I'd plump for Newcastle because of the great north run thingy. But I refuse to venture further north than Birmingham, it's scary and full of barbarians.

Very well deduced, it's Carlisle Castle. I'd have given it you but Fluff got it spot on...Many stone keeps were built on roman fortifications, so I'm thinking a northern city with roman origins.

Missed this post on my phone. The Rat race does a coast to coast...Carlisle castle?
Will let you fight for it. It was Rat Race's The Wall, Carlisle to Newcastle run. It followed Hadrian's Wall which I was going to post a pic of but I thought too easy.
