If you say "technically" asia, I'd have said Bosphorus but you've said no to Bill's suggestion of Istanbul. Only other canal I can think of is the Suez, does that split Africa and Asia though?

Does have that arabic look to it. I'm just stabbing wildly in the dark here. Not many clues to go on. Sand etc looks, well, sandy - like desert sand. No rocks or redeeming features to go on.

Tough one. Lets plump for Suez, then.

Pretty sure that is the Bospherous bridge in Istanbul as Bill said. I suppose there could be another that looks very similar.
