Torquay?
Correct!

I thought it wasn't that difficult - now please take this flaming turd-baton of responsibility that I never want again. I'm out!

Technically I was too late as you had already posted a new picture. We will have to carry on with your new one!

Hmm. It isn't a cathedral, for starters. Too many gravestones. People were buried at their parish church, not the cathedral.

It's in a style of an abbey or former monastery, somewhere in the UK that was prosperous in the 18th century. The spire is a much later addition.

I think we're somewhere around Lincolnshire, Yorkshire area.

Grrrr. This one is bugging me. A lot. I'm sure I've been here.

It looks very familiar.

I've either been there or it's in a TV/movie.

Or it just looks like a hundred the other churches in this style...

Looks opulent - Louth? Stamford perhaps?

I'm 100% sure I've been here, I finish at 6.30 tonight so when I get home tonight, chased the cat around a bit I'll have a look in my "Wiccy's Ecumenical Adventures" file. I'll be back at 8pm with the answer.

Either that or I'll delete this post out of shame, crawl under a rock and die.

It is St Wuframs, but afraid Robert pipped you too it.

I was wandering about before a conference and it struck me as an impressive building for a church - the front is especially grand!

Over to you, Robert.
