Booking a BA Flight & Hotel Package and not using the hotel

Hi All

just wondering if anyone has booked a BA flight and hotel package and then not used the hotel?

I need to fly to the ME next week and can save £500 by booking a package, but my hotel has already been taken car of at the location

Just wondered if I don't turn up at the hotel whether there would be a cost when I turned up for the return flight?

Not sure how close the cheap Package hotel is to the one already booked that my meeting is taking place in

There is no obligation to use the hotel. The only obligation is with BA to ensure there is a room available. They certainly wouldn't try to apply a charge, they can't even do that with throwaway flight ticketing.

You have discovered a useful way of saving money on certain tickets, and avoiding certain restrictions...
No charge will be applied, and no issue with boarding your return flight(s). Ditto with rental cars.

Might be worth telling the hotel so they can let your room though.
