restaurant recomednations - Orlando/parks etc
Discussion
There is a Bahama Breeze, Longhorn Steakhouse, Sweet Tomatoes and an Olive Garden all together where the 192 goes under the 429.
There is a Publix supermarket on the opposite side of the 192 for stocking up on supplies too.
Eating in the parks can be expensive and not always all that good. The days you want to stay late at the parks (e.g. to watch the fireworks) you would be better having a steady morning, eating a big lunch, and going into the parks mid-afternoon.

Excellent, cheers. Looking forward to it even more now; the thought of having to reserve food spaces as well as all the rides and things was putting a bit of a dampener on things. Holidays should be relaxing damnit!
I'm not keen on advising people about Disney (etc) holidays as people do it in different ways, but to my find, it's costing a blinking fortune to be there so I want to get some value from it. If we didn't plan, we'd sit around wondering what to do, and end up doing nothing. With one exception, the last few times we've been we've stayed in a Disney hotel and had "free" Disney dining. That means booking key Signature restaurants 6 months out. As an onsite guest once your booking window opens up you can book for the next 10 days - for the popular restaurants you need that advantage, or you won't get in.
When we first did this I did worry that the holiday would be all about which restaurant we had to be at, but in practice it's fine. They're not generally that critical on time and even if you find yourself having to switch parks it can be done fairly quickly. For big meals in the evening you'd tend to go back to the hotel and shower/change anyway, so it doesn't matter where the restaurant is located.
The main pain with planning a long time in advance is Disney chop and change the park hours. Also it's generally recommended to avoid whichever park is early entry (for on-site guests) that day - although if everyone took notice of that then it could make the park quieter!

For restaurants on idrive and close by, will i need to make reservations?
Should i reserve now?
No. You'll be fine to do it on the day once you know what your plans are and what time you'll be there. For restaurants on idrive and close by, will i need to make reservations?

If you want a special Disney meal book that well in advance.
