Hi Everyone

Just wondering if anyone could help with ideas for a good hotel, in Tenerife that would suit quite a large group with ages from 4-70. I know sandy beaches are not that common there, but a nice beach would be good as would a hotel with nice facilities. Not bothered for all inclusive, but would consider apart-hotels, it's for 7 nights in October.

Location no too much of an issue as I will hire a car, and some of the others will too.

Also if there is anything new since the last time I've visited back in 2004, that is worth visiting too.

Thanks in advance

Abama

Combination of a large hotel, lots of restaurants and some slightly more private pools surrounded by small apparents/villas.

Also has its own private sheltered sandy beach. Little electric road train to ferry you up and down to the beach (couple hundred meters at most).

Truly great - unfortunately expensive.

When we were there, they were lots a large multi family groups, that had hired adjouing apartments.

I agree that the Abama is a good hotel for all the reasons mentioned above. One to avoid like the plague is the Bahia del Duque. Probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I've ended up going with Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel!

Anyone been there?

Looks reasonable (I hope....!)
