Just back from holiday and already got the holiday blues frown. When is the best time (cheapest ££) to book a holiday for July / August 2018? I think we booked around September 2016 for July 2017 but just had a look at prices for 2018 and they seem quite a bit more expensive. There must be a "prime time" to grab a deal? smile

I had a week in Cuba in June, cost 610pp. Booked 1 month previously. Last night I priced the same holiday, similar dates, same board etc for next year, £1100pp.

It really varies but being firmly off peak I'd be confident booking later rather than earlier.

I got a really good deal to Grenada one year a couple of months before going and that was December.

Where are you looking at?

Preferably Barbados again, but would look at Maldives, Antigua etc. I was just interested if there was a specific time when prices were lowest. I think the travel agent said something about Virgin seat sale when we booked last year for this year.. although this could of been a sales pitch they use to get you to book it!

Both times we've been to Barbados we found booking around 3 months before travel was the best deal. Both times were BA holidays (flight & hotel); it could well be different depending on which operator you use.
