Good all inclusive canaries resorts
Discussion
Can anyone recommend a good all inclusive resort in the canaries. Been to Sensatori resorts in Cyprus and Ibiza and looking for a similar standard. Sensatori in Tenerife looks good but friends who have been have reported it is quite snobby compared to others. My son has food allergies so standard of food is important to us as is decent facilities for a 4 year old.

Canaries. All inclusive. Good.
You may pick any two of those three.
OK, where's good in the Canaries? You may pick any two of those three.
I am but I'm skint now and so my strategy is to avoid hotels and resorts altogether and rent a remote villa and self cater.
Two hotels I've used in the past and still review well are the Princess Yazia in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote and Cordial Playa Mogon in the resort of the same name in Gran Canaria. My mum stays in the 4 star Lanzarote Princess, again in Playa Blanca for several weeks every year, which is OK and very popular with elderly long stayers who tend to behave themselves.
As a general rule the east coast resorts will be more windy than anywhere else and the best weather through the autumn winter and spring is usually within the micro climate of south Lanzarote and north Furteventura.
As ever, Trip advisor is your friend and consider avoiding all the big resorts. Pretty much every singe one has a distinct whiff of Butlins about it.
We thought that Hesperia Lanzarote was good when we stayed in 2013. That's our only experience of all-inclusive though, nothing to compare it with, but we usually stay in good 'normal' 5* hotels.

It's away from any hustle and bustle, a short stroll from a few shops (Ralph Lauren etc), bars and restaurants in Puerto Calero and a much longer walk (or drive/taxi) from a bigger town (Puerto del Carmen).
We intend going back in the future.

Been to quite a few.
Fuerteventura - CLub Magic Life - Out of town but with good facilities and sports, excellent food.
Lanza - Riu Clubhotel Paraiso - Good grounds, near facilities, lovely beach, can be quite crowded, excellent rooms if you book the bungalows.
Lanza - Flamingo Beach Resort - Nice beach, very good for kids, reasonable food.
Lanza - Club Tropical Island - Great rooms, limited bars, bit chavvy.
For an hour more flying I really recommend Cape Verde. Stayed at Riu Karamboa in Boa Vista, really top end all round.

Can't help with hotels as I've always gone with villas but I'm a big fan of Lanzarote. If you can look past the beer & chips reputation, it's actually a very beautiful place with lots of culture, great food & loads of hidden gems of beaches & villages to discover & it's small enough that you can get round it easily by car. I suppose it depends what you're looking for but well worth considering if you've never been.
We really enjoy Barcelo Beach resort (I think that's what it's called) on Costa Caleta, Fuerte. There's a good dive centre a ten minute walk away (that's the main attraction for me) a nice beach (the main attraction for her) and a few pools. You can always find a quiet pool with not too many kids. Local town isn't great but a few good bars. Good crazy golf course and great mountain scenery with fantastic roads if you fancy abusing a hire car, too

We've been there as well as quite a few other AI hotels on the islands and it's been the best. Not too crowded around the pool and felt more like a hotel than an all inclusive experience... https://www.nh-hotels.com/hotel/hesperia-lanzarote...

Not really my thing, but Bahía del Duque in Costa Adeje was nice, with a decent spa for the ladies. ...

I think a lot of offers float around

wife and I have stayed here and really enjoyed it. They do allow kids but they also have adults only pools if you want a it a bit quieter

+1 for Hesperia Lanzarote.
Also, it does a half board option if the sums work for you
We enjoyed the "Hysteria" too, though I did get a horrible dose of food poisoning which may or may not have been something to do with the lukewarm breakfast on day 1.Also, it does a half board option if the sums work for you
We booked a good room but were upsold to one of their suites. Well worth it though.
