Business class - price watch

That's right. Some people have managed to get their bags checked through to London even when the last leg is out of the same airport but no guarantees. Technically you are breaching the terms of the booking by not taking the last flight, but if you only do it once or twice a year BA seem not to worry.
Of course you can always have a stop over before the last leg and use it to position for your next trip!
I will keep it in mind. Seems more convenient than the ways I've originally thought of Of course you can always have a stop over before the last leg and use it to position for your next trip!

I never thought of doing it that way. I was thinking fly to the EU airport then take the business fare from there. Your way you can get your bags offloaded on the RTN in London then bin the short flight back to EU? I did see flights a while ago where the return is into LHR then you fly out of LGW to AMS for example meaning bags willl have to be offloaded.
Am I understanding this?
Yep.Am I understanding this?
Airport change is the fool proof method of getting bags back if you have them.
Even if you don't have an airport change or overnight, there are still some - although increasingly rare - agents who will short check bags, but even if they won't, they can't refuse to give you your bags or send them on without you, although they like to keep you waiting for several hours at the assistance desk in baggage claim using this method so not recommended.
Travelling carry on only eliminates most of the risk and hassle in both directions.

Seems ive been doing this anyway but without the benefits!
We live in france so always have to fly back to a uk airport to fly out as flights are only £20 into stansted.
If i can get to 1200 Joh. I'll book em, otherwise the BA sale has me looking at north america for fall.
BA sale has some good deals especially if you add a hotel. Vegas with 7 nights at the Mandalay Bay £1759 or without the hotel £2243. Go figure! We live in france so always have to fly back to a uk airport to fly out as flights are only £20 into stansted.

Off to Panama for a fortnight later this year. AMS-PTY on a fairly direct routing £137 return.
Nice
Assuming ams is amsterdam, it looks like the general consensus is that most flights inc. business class are cheapest out of there?Off to Panama for a fortnight later this year. AMS-PTY on a fairly direct routing £137 return.

Thats rediculously cheap, is that business, premium econ. Or just economy?

Amsterdam for KLM. Finnair out of Helsinki (obviously) and the Middle eastern airlines out of most Scandinavian cities are good for bargains.Thats rediculously cheap, is that business, premium econ. Or just economy?
We were looking at going to Colombia and Panama with KLM out of Southampton (obviously connecting in Amsterdam) and in business it was coming out at £1200! Avianca from Heathrow was about double that.

Just economy. But it also means I can fly from Bristol, extremely close to me!Thats rediculously cheap, is that business, premium econ. Or just economy?
I faced exactly this problem booking flights for a holiday to South Africa later this year.
With BA:
LHR-JNB return in Club was coming out ~£4.5k per head (which is broadly what it costs when I do this route for work).
Milan-LHR-JNB and back was ~£1.7k per head.
With 5 people that's a hefty saving, so I booked a few Avios flights to Milan!

Qatar are doing a business class sale. Not much from the UK but the highlight for me is Auckland £2k from Oslo/Stockholm.
Qatar had on J Class flights to SE Asia from Europe, starting at 1.3k ish Euro, no advance purchased required. Snapped one up to fly 2 days later, and currently touring around the region and finishing this weekend with the F1 in Sing. A healthy bag of tier points from that, along with some picked up on Malaysian Airways gets me close to retaining my BA status for the year, so all is good. Well apart from giving money to a company/country with questionable employee treatment....smack said:

Well all of the ME airlines are from countries with questionable labour practices but putting that to one side they do some cracking deals. The Asian stuff is cheap again now via Scandinavia. I think Bangkok can be had for about £1200, Singapore about £1500.
Enjoy the GP, I went a few years ago and it was great, loved the city.
Good news for anyone living in or near South Wales, Qatar are starting to fly from Cardiff in May and they normally do some pretty good fares when they launch a route.

Most 'cheap' business class flights are with inferior airlines with tired/outdated cabins. I once found myself in transatlantic Delta business class and thought I was back in the 80s.
If you can get (ideally Emirates) cheap BC in a A380 then I'm all ears.
Most UK deals yes, look at stopping somewhere like Amsterdam or Helsinki and you can fly in a really good business class cheap. If you can get (ideally Emirates) cheap BC in a A380 then I'm all ears.
Emirates are rarely cheap unless you start your journey elsewhere in Europe, Italy seems to be a good starting point. Qatar do some very good deals and their business is supposedly the best in the world. Finnair often do very good deals and theirs is excellent. American Airlines do good deals out of Paris every now and then and the new style business class on AA is exceptional.
