I am reminded of 'Any publicity is good publicity'.
Although O'Leary may have gone a bit too far overboard on this occasion, any significant investor will recognise that it's an organisation with good potential peaks and troughs. Many will be looking to buy on the dip.
It will be just a small blip in their Annual Accounts.
It doesn't concern me to be honest. Though this combined with another misdemeanour might. They need to keep their noses clean for a while after this.Although O'Leary may have gone a bit too far overboard on this occasion, any significant investor will recognise that it's an organisation with good potential peaks and troughs. if you think that then there is no way to change your mind but this isn't good pr, share price has lost nearly 10% in a month, the shareholders are getting nervous now.
This year has been a good year for their share price so far. It did take a hit but it's back to business as usual and seems to be recovering. I think you're over egging it to be honest.

Is it safe to make new ryanair bookings? I.e. have they reduced their capacity or are they still selling flights they can't fulfill?
I wouldn't risk it. The latest information shows that they clearly have significant IR issues and were lying about the real cause of the cancellation issue.
Until they fully resolve those issues cancellations and disruption are a possibility, if not a probability.
