I stayed at the Salisbury, was about £180 a night for a huge room with 2 large beds, ex apartment building so they had larger than normal NY sized rooms for that budget. It’s old school New York feeling and. A little dated but the location was perfect for us as tourists.

Opposite Carnegie Hall and I think on 57th st. About 3 mins walk to Central Park on the next block, about 10 mins walk to Times Square. Just a little bit quieter and nicer to stay. Some very very expensive hotels right next door.

Depends how much time you will spend in there and do you need the luxury of a hotel bar and spa etc..subway across st, loads of bars and restaurants on the doorstep too.

Checked on trip advisor and it looks like it’s £80 a night at the moment!
