Depends on the chalet and the company surely? We love relaxing in our chalet after a hard day.
True but when do you get to enjoy the village? Day in the mountain night in chalet

The benefit I’ve found of skiing in April is it’s really quiet - I’ve had a number of entire runs where it’s been deserted ie “millionaire skiing”.

It can be harder first thing / icy but I’ve been out when it’s snowed at those times which is fun.

After a long 12 month wait I leave for the Dolomites tomorrow!

I'm only doing 4 days skiing, which is a shame, but hopefully I can make the most of it!
I’m only doing 3 days on the slopes in under 2 weeks - I think 4 days is the perfect number, 3 just that bit too short/rushed (but sadly I don’t have the leave remaining to do it)

Not quite sure where he disappeared tbh but have a vague idea on where. But I don't know the lifts etc

Was found and rescued at 8pm. I doubt his insurance will cover it so could be an interesting bill

But No, I wouldn't do back country without the minimum ava gear.

fking Americans ??
Always get the best insurance cover - you never know and it’s the last thing you need to be worrying about after a nasty incident

The insurance they offer with the lift passes is generally good value as well.

€2 for a helicopter ride and st loads of drugs is the best €2 my mate ever spent. biggrin
Actually surely the mountain companies should all include said insurance with every ticket ie it’s compulsory as no doubt countless people can’t afford heli lifts etc

No lift pass insurance is going to cover you off-piste.

Winter sports cover generally doesn't cover you off-piste unless you're with an accredited guide.

You need specialist mountaineering insurance to be covered if you're in the back country on your own.
I never venture off piste - more than happy enough on piste

No, we go friday, bit concerned, there was huge amounts of snow forecast, now it's gone frown still, it's our first time skiing, so we won't really know any different I guess?

What runs were you doing? I've studied the map extensively!
If you’ve never skied before you will likely spend 2 days maybe 3 just on the nursary slope thereafter 1 or 2 blues for the rest of the week.

hi guys i have a question

if you were to buy a sml place in a ski resort no more than 1.5 hrs away from geneva where would it be and why ?

budget is lowish 200k-400k chf or eur

im single but want a pad that offers nice village and good skiing

i prefer the swiss in general so was thinking of Champéry.....but like all things swiss you get less for your money

any input greatly appreciated
Think you might not be single in the future and you might have kids so suddenly that lovely small pad becomes not appropriate
