Friend of mine with a dive resort on Gili Air mentioned that movement was felt pretty heavily but no damage evident.

Just waiting to hear from our travel agent. We are staying in the North - west of Tandjung, however judging by Instagram, people felt tremors and went back to bed, so hotel seems fine..

Jarcy & Gio, are you in Lombok at the moment? Another disastrous couple of days with a heavy Earthquake and terrible loss of life.
I hope you're either not there yet or have managed to get out safely.

Thanks for your concern. We were on our last night in Bali - Ubud when the first earthquake struck and decided not to fly to Lombok. We could not get hold of the hotel in Lombok and our agent said it was too risky. Currently in Canggu, travel agent was amazing! The aftershocks are interesting, however Bali does not appear to be impacted too much..

Which hotel do you stay in Singapore? 'cuz my husband and I are planning to have a 2-week trip in Singapore
My travel agent recommended the Park Hotel as an appropriate compromise of location, quality and price.
Ahh, right opposite my Condo, lots of nice bars in Robertson Walk also

Good to hear you didn't go to Lombok, its all a bit of a mess over there!

Canggu is a nice spot too, La Plancha is a good chilled beach bar if you want to get away from the hipsters too (does this by charghing 50cents more / beer ....well worth it)

We were on Gili Trawangan when the earthquake hit.
Very lucky to have been out in the open air when it struck and fortunately no injuries to my wife and I.

The island is devastated, and a lot of damage to our hotel. Gili T will be off the tourist radar for several weeks.
8 reported deaths on our island, and I witnessed many injuries.
We eventually managed to evacuate to Bali, and then on to Singapore. A very fraught couple of days.

Thanks for your concern.

I felt it in Bali and it was bad, can only imagine how it felt when you were on the Island, glad you and your wife are ok!

I remember my first noticeable earthquake in Jakarta, I was cooking and all of a sudden felt dizzy and thought I was going to faint... the house was moving around me. The feeling was a fleeting moment, once I realised what it was I went out to the garden, the water in the pool was doing backflips trying to get out.

I've been fortunate enough to not be around a big one that caused damage, good to hear you got back to Bali safely.

Poor Lombok is still getting clobbered !!!

In Surabaya over 500km away at the moment and we noticed last nights 6.9 (plates and glasses in the kitchen all rattled)

These are all the +4.0’s in the past 24 hours.
