October holiday with 3yr old and 3 month old ideas
Discussion
Planning a week away, no more than a 4hr flight for a week. Needs to be somewhere family friendly but with some places to explore. Not interested in just being on a resort next to a pool for a week.
Need to have 2 bedrooms so 3yr old in own room.
Any ideas on where could be good?
My wife has said about some Eurocamp/Centre parks type places in Italy/Netherlands/france - anyone ever been?

Lake Garda is an option. Apart from being great for adults - scenery, food, water sports - it also has a section which contain water parks/ amusement parks. Regarding accommodation we stayed a few times at the Parc Germano in Bardolino. They have two bedroom two storey apartments which are suitable for two kids with one in their own room. The hotel is excellent also - it has an adults only pool as well as the kids one and a great roof top bar.Need to have 2 bedrooms so 3yr old in own room.

There are also several Eurocamp style sites around the lake.We stayed at a particularly nice one near Salo but it was many years ago.
Main downside is October weather can be mixed.

Yep, nice climate that time of year, plenty of stuff to do with the older kid and everything is buggy friendly for the youngest. We spent a week there with our (at the time) 9 month old and it was a pleasure.

Fair enough, We went in October and it was lovely but I was ready to get to our next destination after three days there (I turned into a child at the aquarium!) We spent a week there with our (at the time) 9 month old and it was a pleasure.

New forest is current preffered
UK option if we don’t fly.
Alternatively could get ferry to France/Holland so can load up car and go.
We stayed at a place called sandyballs, in one of their log cabins, weather wasn't the best but the cabin was toasty, they have a free swimming pool, soft play and other activities you can pay for, but you've also close to the coast aswell.UK option if we don’t fly.

We've been back, camping aswell.
If you're not flying that would get my vote.

Personally, as a father to a young child there is a huge gap between what you want to do with the Mrs, Children and with infants. I'm aware others will find their own way as each family is different but for instance I used to live in the canaries and know the islands intimately-as amazing as they are for families I wouldn't recommend taking an infant there if it's just mum and dad.
A city break, as random as it sounds is wonderful (ONLY IMHO!!) simply for the reason that there is enough to keep the infant/child/adult entertained-it's a city after all! Families live there!
It might sound stupid but a good city break is no different to taking the baby up the town of a Saturday morning. Just with added adventure.
If not, and especially if budget is a concern, I hate to say it but one company has it sorted. Haven.
You may shudder at the thought of it-but to keep infants happy they've got it sussed and private hiring your
