Hi all.

I'm hoping a seasoned air traveller can help me with this one?

I've got 73k AVIOS miles and want to sue them as part payment against four adult one way tickets from JFK to SFO next July?

Can I, and if so, how?

I believe Alaska Air and AA both accept AVIOS and they have flights available at the date/times I need.

Over to you.

Tks.

Yes.
No idea about using the avios site, but using the BA site, it is easy enough. Spend avios, look for the partner award section, search for award availability (the tricky bit) then book. Taxes are low on AA partner redemptions too.

Everything you need is in here: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/british-airways-ex...

As above, part payment is very much a waste of points. It may be cheaper (for example) to buy 2 tickets outright, and get 2 tickets fully 'free' on avios.

If you need more points, and have a few months before booking, check out headforpoints.com

I’ve managed to get 200k points over the past 9 months with a little credit card churning

Thanks all. Eventually booked tickets with Alaska and will use my AVIOS for car hire.
