Might help to narrow down the search, but we're quite close to a major river and associated flood plain/river valley.

Don't recognise the church though, but it does have a bavarian style, again indicative of Rhine Valley. Plus that's a black forest gateaux.

So somewhere Strasbourg/Stuttgart way.
