wavey Here's one wink

The location of a good photo can be worked out without using google. Just systematically work through what you see, things that stand out. Makes sense now I know it's an active volcano. There's absolutely no vegetation, not even moss in the pic. The wooden railway sleepers look wrong, they're not rotten, they look petrified, preserved in some way.

Regarding the sulphur, it accumulates just inside the vents on a volcano, huge great yellow bogeys that can be chipped off. The purity makes it ideal for sulphur based antibiotics.

I did google it last night, it looks a fantastic place. Prime real estate for the emerging megalomaniac.

Not many pics available right now, however try this one

I'm afk all day but back around 7pm.

Damn, that went quick!!

Yes, rollrights. It's the north stone in the circle, taken at halloween (hence the pumpkin). There'd been a big witches ceremony about an hour earlier, the stones were adorned with carved pumpkins, turnips and lanterns. One of the oldest stone circles in the UK, predates stonehenge by a thousand years.

You're up Mantis.

yeah i knew it wasn't avebury from the stone type, not being sarsens, the oddolite limestone (i think) (woop at my geog degree!) and the fence (weirdly for some reason) rang a huge bell for me and smacked of middle England, amd the shapes are a bit all over the place, which isnt like others ive been to.

ive visited them only once but picnicked there so spent a few hours, and remember they were near the edge of the field they are in, and it didn't seem like any of the other circles I've been to (duloe, hurlers, 9 and merry maidens) so had to be rollrights or one id never been to so would be wrong!

btw are you actually a wiccan? if so happy yule on the 21st!

Roof looks like those in Normandy. So presumably a Canadian cemetery there, but I have no idea where.

Ok lets try a bit of deduction,
I think at looks like the steering wheel of the BMW is on the left, So that could indicate France
The car is a top range BMW not a Renault or Peugeot. So that would indicate not France

No further forward

Well it says Canada above the door, with what looks vaguely like a Beaver above it. Could be a Salmon.

Looks UK though.

I'm stumped.

I see an Alfa Giulia and a Mondeo, no BMW.. are we looking at the same picture?

If it's not France, then is it Belgium?

Ooops on closer inspection it does not appear to be a BMW (I was going on the hockey stick) Stiil they all look the same these days.

I could have sworn I’ve been there with wife and kids; small model boat museum on the Thames, though don’t remember the war memorials
